1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms apply to your use of the Chill Commit mobile application and any associated services, including the website. By accessing or using Chill Commit in any form, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms.

2. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account, including a valid email address and display name.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.

3. Guest Access

You may use the app in guest mode without creating an account. Data created in guest mode is stored locally on your device and may be lost if you uninstall the app or clear app data. I am not responsible for loss of locally stored guest data. Social features such as challenges, events, friends, and chat require a registered account.

4. Subscriptions and Pro Features

Chill Commit offers a free tier and an optional paid subscription called ChillCommit Pro.

• Pro subscriptions are billed on a recurring basis (monthly or annually) through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your platform's account settings.
• Refunds are subject to the policy of the platform you purchased through (Apple or Google). I do not process refunds directly.
• Free-tier limits (such as the maximum number of friends or active challenges) are subject to change with notice.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the app for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the systems hosting the app or other users' accounts.
• Interfere with or disrupt the app's functionality.
• Submit false or misleading activity data.
• Post content in events, chat, or your profile that is offensive, harmful, or violates the rights of others.
• Use the social features (events, challenges, friends, chat) to harass or spam other users.

6. User Content

You retain ownership of any content you submit through the app — including activity logs, profile information, event listings, chat messages, and photos. By submitting content, you grant me a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to store, display, and distribute that content as necessary to provide the service to you and other users (for example, showing your event to other participants).

You are responsible for the content you post. I reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.

7. Social Features

Chill Commit includes social functionality such as friends, group challenges, events, and chat. When you use these features, other users may see information such as your display name, profile picture, activity statistics, and event participation. Please review the Privacy Policy to understand what data is shared and how.

8. Push Notifications

With your permission, Chill Commit may send push notifications for events such as friend requests, challenge activity, messages, and new nearby events. You can adjust notification preferences at any time in the app's settings. Some notification types (such as Nearby Events) require a Pro subscription and a home location to be set.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of Chill Commit — including text, graphics, logos, and software — are my property and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the app without my written permission.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. I do not guarantee that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Cold and heat exposure activities carry inherent physical risks — always exercise caution and consult a medical professional if in doubt.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, I shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app — including but not limited to loss of data, loss of access to social features, or personal injury resulting from activities logged through the app.

12. Termination

I reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time, without notice, for conduct that I believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users or the service. Upon termination, your right to use the app ceases immediately.

13. Changes to Terms

These Terms may be revised at any time. I'll notify you of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
