App Descriptions
ChillCommit is a mobile app for tracking cold and heat exposure — cold plunges, cold showers, nature swims, and sauna sessions. Log each session with duration, temperature, and location, then watch your progress through streaks, personal records, and weekly goals based on Dr. Susanna Søberg's research (11 minutes of cold and 57 minutes of heat per week). Connect with friends, compete through challenges, and discover cold exposure events near you. Whether you're building your first habit or fine-tuning a serious practice, ChillCommit keeps you accountable and motivated. Free to download. Available on Android and iOS.
ChillCommit is a mobile tracking app for cold and heat exposure, designed for people who take their wellness practice seriously. Whether you're stepping into an ice bath, braving a cold shower, swimming in open water, or sweating through a sauna session, ChillCommit gives you the tools to log, measure, and build on every experience.
Each activity is recorded with duration, temperature, location, and personal notes. The app tracks streaks and personal records, and visualises progress through detailed statistics, trends, and a calendar heatmap. Weekly goals are anchored in Dr. Susanna Søberg's research targets — 11 minutes of deliberate cold and 57 minutes of heat per week — giving your practice a science-backed foundation.
ChillCommit also brings a social dimension to cold and heat training. Add friends, see where you rank on the leaderboard, create or join group challenges, and discover public events happening near you. Sharing sessions and competing on streaks turns a solitary habit into a thriving community practice.
For users who want deeper insights, the Pro tier unlocks advanced analytics: duration trends, contrast therapy ratios, monthly breakdowns, and CSV export — everything a data-driven practitioner needs to optimise their protocol.
The app supports four activity types — cold plunge, cold shower, nature swim, and sauna. Three timer modes cover every session format: a simple countdown, a dual-activity timer for contrast protocols, and an open stopwatch. Manual session registration ensures no session ever goes unlogged.
ChillCommit is built by Frederick Kihle, a Norwegian solo developer, using React Native and Expo. Version 1.0 launched in spring 2026. The app is free to download and currently available on Android via Google Play, with an iOS release in active development. The Pro tier is available as an in-app purchase.
